Annual Irish Wildflowers seed

Species List:

Corn Marigold
Corn Poppy
Corncockle
Cornflower
Scentless Mayweed

Suitable for all types of soil.

Moisture Level:                Dry, Normal, Moist, but not Flooded

Aspect:                              Sunny, Semi Shade and not Shaded.

Height Range:                  <30cm to >100cm

Seed Sowing Rates:        2 grams per metre.

Specific Cutting Time:    When last flowers fade, after seeds set.

Management:                   Control weeds.

Sowing Method:               By hand

Sowing Specification:     As normal, roll or rake surface to keep from birds.

Best time:                          Early spring or in September.

Flowering Period:
If autumn or early spring sown = Late May to August.
If spring sown = July to November.

This mixture should germinate 4 to 6 weeks after sowing. 8 to 12 weeks in cold wet weather. If the mixture is allowed to set seed and the soil turned, it will flower each year. When the annual flowers finish, cut them and lightly cultivate the soil, hiding seeds from birds. Up to 90% of seed should germinate in 8 weeks. Late autumn sowings may be slow to emerge.
